This year we're going to try to have people over every month for 20 Toppings nights. 20 Toppings nights are where we pick a food that uses toppings, and eat it with 20 toppings.
Tonight was our first 20 Toppings night, and we did hot dogs. Hotdogs with 10 or more toppings are pretty common street fare in São Paulo, and Christy is always talking about her beloved Completos she is enjoying in Chile.
Our 20 Hotdog toppings were:
- Mustard (both brown and yellow, but only counting it once!)
- Bacon bits
- French Fried Onions
- Fresh onions
- Green Peppers
- Fried Eggs
We used the 80 count beef franks from Sam's Club and bolillo rolls for the buns. The bolillo rolls we found at the local Cub grocery store. They're bigger and stretchier than hot dog buns, which was critical for our super dogs.
