Breakfast Making Boys

Last week Caroline was teaching early-morning seminary while the regular seminary teacher was out of town. One night she made home-made cinnamon rolls to bring the next morning, and she made a few extras for us.

Ryan woke up that next morning after Caroline had gone to teach, but before I woke up. He set the table, folded napkins, got out the milk and nesquick, cut up an apple, peeled an orange and got out some toppings for the cinnamon rolls. He was very proud of himself, and rightfully so. We said "thank you" a bunch of times,  which only made him feel even more pleased with himself.

This morning when I had just gotten out of bed, Calvin came bounding out of his room with a smile on his face and lots of energy. After giving me a couple hugs, he ran off to the kitchen determined to make a nice breakfast for us too. He got out the milk, some cups and plates, 4 large tomatoes, a box of 4 strawberries, a handful of blackberries, the tupperware of leftover shredded lettuce and the leftover sliced sweet peppers. He was VERY proud of himself, and he did the best little Calvin job he could do. We made sure to say "thank you" a bunch of times to him, and he just kept grinning his happy Calvin grin.
