So, I haven't posted in like 3 weeks. So here are a bunch of posts about what's been going down in P-town. Enjoy!

Calvin's Blessing

On Sunday, while all of Michael's family was here (except Uncle Tyler, Aunt Marianne and Uncle Seth--we missed you guys!), we had Calvin blessed. I can't believe he's already two months old! It was a lovely blessing, and it was so neat to have everyone there. James was ordained an Elder recently, so he even got to participate in the blessing. Calvin was a good boy and didn't cry. And Michael did a great job, despite the two nightmares he had the night before about messing it up completely. Anyways, it was lovely, and reminded me how much I love our sweet new little boy.

Here are some pictures outside after the blessing:

Moore Family Visit!

Michael's family came out to visit us last Tuesday and they had to go home on Sunday. We had so much fun having them. We got to go swimming with the babies, hang out and talk, and go to Moab!

Moab was awesome, even with 3 babies in tow. I've never been before, and it was so much fun to go. On the way down we stopped at Canyonlands National Park and then we hiked around Arches National Park when we got to Moab. We had tin foil dinners and got eaten by the biggest swarm of mosquitos I've ever seen in my life, but it was still fun!

One of the short hikes we did took us into this rock formation that had huge walls and a big sand dune inside. Since the walls were so high, it was nice and cool and shady inside. That was my favorite hike, since we just stayed in there and played around for a long time. Ryan found a stick and was in heaven just poking around in the sand. It was a pretty small stick, and whenever he'd drop it, he'd get down near the ground and yell "Stick! Stick, where are you?" while he tried to find it. What a funny kid.

We had so much fun having everyone here. Abbey is still here, so that's awesome! And, of course, James started at BYU this week, so he is here for good, so that is definitely exciting, too! We miss the rest of you!

Here are some pictures from their visit:

Fathers Day!

For Fathers Day weekend we took a trip to Rawlins, Wyoming to visit my Grandpa Balcom. Ryan loved him and followed him around asking him if he had a belly button. He finally lifted up his shirt and showed him to placate him, but to no avail. He pretty much kept asking all weekend. Calvin did some good quality smiling for Grandpa, which really made Grandpa's day. We had a really nice time, and I'm very glad we went to go spend time with him.

In other news, I have an amazing husband. Happy belated Fathers Day! Calvin and Ryan and I love you to pieces, Michael. Thanks for all you do!

Free Fishing Day!

In honor of Utah's free fishing day a couple of weeks ago, we decided to take a trip up to Tibble Fork with my dad and with our friends Dave, April and Susie Whiting. We took out the boat Michael made a couple of years ago (now named "the zippy") and had a great time. Once my dad showed us all how it was done, we caught tons of fish and left just before the rain started pouring. It was a really fun day. The funniest part of the day was when an old fisherman walked by us wearing waders and walked right out into the lake. Ryan thought that sounded like a good idea and followed him right in. It wasn't until he started screaming because the water was cold that I noticed he was actually in the lake, although only up to his knees. Good thing I brought him some spare pants! Here are some pictures of the fun:

Who wants dessert?

Hey, everybody, here's a shameless plug for any of you who may be in the Provo area. Come to our bake sale! Here's the deal. I am putting on a cooking class for underprivileged kids in the area. I have already taught the class once and we're doing it at least 3 more times this summer. But after doing it once, I realized that it is going to be expensive! So, we are having a bake sale to raise money to pay for it and hopefully be able to continue teaching it. So, please come!

The sale is tomorrow, the 10th, in my front yard (yes, I tried very hard to get a better location, but nobody seems to care about teaching underprivileged kids how to cook around here!). I would feel a little weird putting my address up here, so how about if anyone wants to come and doesn't know where I live, email me at (this is not my regular email, lest you all think I have changed it--this is one I don't care if random blog stalkers get) and I'll let you know. Anyways, it's from noon to 4:00. So please please please come! Thanks!

The Many Faces of Calvin!

Blue Steel------------Smiley-----------Thoughtful

P.S. If you want the bigger versions of these pics, go here

I thought you all might enjoy seeing some of Calvin's many looks. He cracks us up, and we love him! Calvin's new trick is smiling. I love seeing his big gummy grins. For awhile, he would only do it for me, which made me feel special. But now he does it for Michael, Grandma, Ryan and the ceiling, too. He's such a sweeite. Here are a couple more smiley pictures:

And a few more recent fun pics, for good measure:
